UK Global Majority Poets on Film

UK Global Majority Poets on Film

WritersMosaic and the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation present UK Global Majority Poets on Film LIVE at The Conduit.

Join us for a virtuosic evening of poetry and film hosted by author and WritersMosaic Director Colin Grant. The event features poetry performances from Anthony Anaxagorou (founder of Out-Spoken Press) and Forward Prize-winner Marjorie Lotfi, as well as a screening of four short films drawn from their poems, beautifully created by filmmakers Savannah Acquah and Rob Akin.

Following the screenings poets and filmmakers will give behind-the-scenes insights into the construction of the films, riffing along the way on the history of poetry films and their challenges. These dazzling poetry films aim to bring innovative poetry to wider audiences, showcasing some of the most exciting poets and filmmakers of our time.
