Fair Usage
In an effort to effectively use all available spaces throughout the club, please do not leave your belongings in your chosen seat for a significant period of time, stopping fellow Members utilising the area. Staff reserve the right to move items to a safe space if left for 30 + minutes. We ask that groups don’t excessively monopolise multiple tables.
No Pitching
The Conduit is a safe space for curious and authentic people to connect and explore new ideas. To maintain this sense of community, and to respect everyone’s time and privacy, we have a no pitch policy. If you are looking for investment or seeking any other form of funding, please get in touch with the Conduit Connect.
Keep it Confidential
Please respect the confidentiality of our events if they are under Chatham House Rules. We want to be a safe space for constructive dialogue and for this people need to know they can safely speak their mind. Please also respect the confidentiality of our members and do not share our members list or event attendee lists with other people. Additionally, we operate a strict no reporting policy. This means that any conversation or interaction at The Conduit (with either members or guests) should be regarded as off the record and is not for reporting unless explicit prior written confirmation is given. For our members and guests who are themselves members of the press (journalists, bloggers, influencers): when you are at The Conduit, please consider yourself to be off duty unless you have prior written consent to do an interview. Do not attempt to conduct any unsolicited interviews and do not report any conversation, activity, event or engagement at The Conduit without prior written consent.
Pap-free Zone
Please respect and protect the privacy of your fellow members when taking photos in the space. No video or photo shoots can take place without prior written consent from The Conduit. Please get in touch with events@theconduit.com for more details. If we have photography or video at our events, we’ll always let you know on the day and give you the chance to opt out.
Conduct at The Conduit
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying. If you experience any such behaviour, please report it immediately via the Conduct at The Conduit section of your Members’ app. All reports will receive a response within 48 hours.
Sharing on Social Media
Feel free to snap and share away on social media (we’re @theconduitlondon on Instagram by the way!) but please do not post any pictures or any information of other members or their guests without their prior consent. Harmful and demeaning content focused on The Conduit community is not acceptable. We encourage and appreciate feedback, so please come and talk to us directly if you have any concerns.
Dress Code
Come dressed.
Bringing Children to The Conduit
Children up to, and including, the age of 17 can come as your guests and can be in the building until 6pm (accompanied by an adult member at all times).
Children and babies are welcome at Conduit events but please be respectful of other attendees. Please note we do reserve the right to refuse entry should the club not be suitable for children at any time.
Inviting Guests
Kindly remember that guests are only allowed in the space in the company of a member. Guests of members are not permitted to enter the club if not accompanied by the member who issued their pass. You can bring two guests with you at any one time. You can often bring guests along to events taking place at The Conduit, depending on the demand and spaces available (please check individual event descriptions for full details).
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are allowed everywhere in the building. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times and with paws off the furniture! If a dog is disturbing other members, The Conduit reserves the right to ask the owner to leave with their dog.
Using Mobile Phones & Laptops
Laptops are permitted in all areas except the 5th floor, which is a laptop-free zone during service times. Excluding Social Fridays, which encourage no use of your devices past 3pm in the Ubuntu Lounge, you may use your mobile phone throughout the building. However, speakerphone use is strictly prohibited, and we ask that you are mindful of those around you. If noise levels of either phone or laptop use become disruptive, we reserve the right to ask you to lower your volume. Additionally, ensure that your use of space does not obstruct others from meeting or using the area as intended. If you need to take a private or extended call, telephone booths are available on the 3rd floor and are bookable via the app.
Smoking
The Conduit is a smoke-free zone. Smoking and vaping is allowed at the front of the building.
Illegal Substances
Illegal substances are not allowed anywhere within The Conduit. This includes using, ingesting or dealing such substances. Any member – or guest of member – caught with illegal substances will have their membership terminated immediately.
Do Not Disturb
Please respect the rights of your fellow members and their guests – as well as the neighbourhood in which we belong – and avoid creating an atmosphere that’s disturbing to others. The Conduit has the right to refuse service of alcohol. We have the right to ask you to leave at any time.
Food and Drink
Please do not bring any outside food or beverages into The Conduit. This will result in refusal of entry.
Gratuities
A discretionary service charge of 13.5% will be added to all bills. Members are obviously welcome to tip more for exceptional service.
Lost & Found
If you have lost something in the building, please call Reception as soon as possible so that we can try and track it down for you. Anything found in The Conduit will be kept for a period of one month, before being given away to a local charity. We will make every effort to contact the owner of a lost item (if we can ascertain who it is!). The Conduit is not responsible for your property at any time.
Conduit Fellows, Under 33 & Student Discounts
Our Impact Fellows, Under 33 Members and Student Members can enjoy a 33% discount off food and drinks on Mondays.
