Our co-founders Paul van Zyl and Nick Hamilton founded The Conduit after travelling the global conference circuit, discussing the world’s most pressing challenges at events like Davos and COP.
Their idea was to create a space where changemakers can convene 365 days a year. This manifested as a private members club in London that’s centred around impact, where entrepreneurs, investors and activists can accelerate solutions to complex problems.
Guided by the philosophy of Ubuntu – meaning ‘I am because you are’ – the co-founders committed to using the club’s platform to host events on social and environmental issues. Bringing people together in-person, eye-to-eye, to share ideas and make meaningful connections. A diverse community, unified by common humanity. Optimistic in the face of all obstacles.
As Nelson Mandela said: ‘If we are to accomplish anything in this world, it will in equal measure be due to the work and achievements of others.’
