Insights

Our insights capture the ideas, evidence and perspectives shaping the Solutions Lab – spotlighting emerging solutions and the voices driving them.

The Future of the Charity Sector: Evolution or Revolution?

AI is set to be the most disruptive technology of the 21st century, reshaping how we live, work and give. As it advances, urgent questions emerge: who benefits, who decides and whose voices shape the future?

The Conduit’s Yes, But debate explored whether AI will enable greater efficiency and collaboration across the not-for-profit sector — or deepen divides and shift power in unintended ways. .

Resilient Cities

More than half of the world’s population now lives in cities — a figure projected to rise to 70% by 2050. In 2025, The Conduit convened over 50 city leaders from five continents at the Resilient Cities Forum to share learning, celebrate progress and scout for investable solutions shaping the future of urban resilience.

AI for Good

AI is foundational to how societies solve problems — but its deployment across the social sector remains uneven. In 2025, The Conduit convened a series of conversations exploring how AI can be applied responsibly across key social and environmental challenges, identifying promising ideas that are early-stage, under-resourced or not yet scaled.

Navigating Displacement in a Fragmenting World

More than 123 million people are now displaced worldwide — a figure that continues to grow as climate shocks and conflict compound systemic vulnerabilities. The Conduit’s Refugees & Migration series unpacks the human, political and economic dimensions of this crisis, highlighting emerging solutions that uphold dignity while strengthening the systems that receive and integrate newcomers.

Climate & Insurance: Closing the Protection Gap

As climate risks intensify, the global insurance protection gap is widening — with trillions in economic risk uninsured and more homes becoming uninsurable. The Conduit’s Climate & Insurance insights examine how capital, risk transfer and nature-based solutions can help close this gap and strengthen financial and climate resilience at scale.

Building Resilience at the Core

Health systems worldwide are under strain — stretched by pandemics, climate shocks, rising chronic disease and deep inequities in access and care. The Conduit’s Health Systems insights explore how stronger, more resilient systems — from primary care to financing and workforce models — are essential to protecting health, preventing crises and delivering better outcomes at scale.
