Regeneration: Ending the Climate Crisis in One Generation, with Paul Hawken
Can we really end the climate crisis in one generation? Author, activist, and entrepreneur Paul Hawken believes so. Regeneration is Paul’s new book outlining a visionary blueprint for climate progress, and he will be joined in conversation by Clover Hogan and John Elkington to discuss how to get the job done.
Climate change is the biggest challenge of our time. Rising to the challenge, NYT-bestselling author Paul Hawken, who has long been a leading voice in the climate movement, has developed a radical new and practical approach to tackling climate change.
His new book Regeneration offers a blueprint to ending the climate crisis in just one generation. It’s a book that weaves justice, climate, biodiversity, equity, and human dignity into a seamless tapestry of action, policy, and transformation. Hawken contests that solutions to the climate crisis can directly serve our children, the poor, and the excluded, and that initiatives need to go well beyond solar, electric vehicles, and tree planting.
Paul was joined by climate activist Clover Hogan and corporate sustainability champion John Elkington to outline and discuss exactly what those radical solutions are, and what needs to happen to make them a reality.

In 2008, The Evening Standard named John among the ‘1000 Most Influential People’ in London, describing him as “a true green business guru”, and as “an evangelist for corporate social and environmental responsibility long before it was fashionable”. In 2009, a CSR International survey of the Top 100 CSR leaders placed John fourth: after Al Gore, Barack Obama and the late Anita Roddick of the Body Shop. As the company enters its second decade, John is on a mission to multiply Volans’ impact.
