Speakers:

Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen are two of the world’s most iconic working ocean photographers, and they also happen to be partners in both their personal and professional lives. Born in Mexico City, Mittermeier started out as a marine biologist and now works as a writer, conservationist, and photographer, immersing herself in diverse cultures and environments worldwide. Nicklen grew up with Inuit in the Canadian Arctic and worked as a biologist in the Northwest Territories before specializing in photographing the polar regions. They are sought-after thought leaders in ocean conservation, and together, this remarkable duo aims to raise awareness through their art and non-profit organization, SeaLegacy, which utilizes visual storytelling to advance ocean conservation.
Colin Butfield is the co-founder and Director of Open Planet Studios. He has worked on numerous documentaries and short films including the BBC series Earthshot, Netflix features A Life on Our Planet and Breaking Boundaries, and the National Geographic feature documentary Ocean, also with David Attenborough. He is the co-author of Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet.
