UK Elections 2024
Join Will Hutton, a best-selling author, political economist and commentator, for this special event on the UK’s general election.
From the Iraq War to the financial collapse, from austerity to Brexit, and even more easily forgotten events like the MP’s expenses scandal, Britain has faced a relentless series of crises since 2000. Each crisis has compounded the next, making disaster feel like the new normal.
After 14 years of government by the Conservative Party, polls, bookmakers and most Westminster insiders believe Labour is on course for a seismic election victory when the country goes to the polls on 4 July.
Every thinking person knows that a great change is needed in our country, we explore how to remake Britain.
