John Fullerton: Regenerative Economics
The unconventional economist helps us to reimagine the economy as a living system, rather than a machine.
The dominant economic model is struggling to meet the realities of a rapidly changing world. Climate instability, ecological breakdown, and social fragmentation point not to isolated failures – but to a system that no longer reflects how life itself works.
Join John Fullerton, former managing director at JPMorgan and founder of the Capital Institute, along with regenerative business leader Louise Kjellerup Roper and ecological economist Tim Jackson, for a fireside chat marking the European launch of his new book on Regenerative Economics.
Drawing on a decade of collaboration with leading ecological and systems thinkers, John invites us to reimagine the economy not as a machine to be optimised, but as a living system to be carefully nurtured. Moving beyond “doing less harm” or even “doing good,” this work focuses on creating the conditions for life to thrive – unlocking resilience, shared prosperity, and long-term value.
This is a rare opportunity to engage directly with one of the field’s most original thinkers – and to ask the questions that matter most now.
