The End of Authoritarianism? Lessons from Recent European Elections
May 14, 6:00 pm
May 14, 6:00 pm
Recent election results in Hungary have brought renewed hope in the people’s fight for democratic and rights-respecting governments in Europe and around the world. Looking at the Hungarian example, as well as that of Poland in 2023, we will explore what helped shift the balance in those elections and what everyday people can do to combat anti-rights agendas.
We will open with presentations from speakers deeply engaged in this work, including Conduit member and co-founder of UnHack Democracy Zsofia Banuta, followed by an informal, interactive discussion for all to join.
