How to Prevent World War Three

September 28, 6:15 pm

As the global order fractures, conflict is returning and we are not prepared. Former Defence Minister Tobias Ellwood offers an urgent call-to-action.

A new cold war has already begun, and it is one unlike anything we’ve seen before. Influence, ignorance and ideology have been weaponised, and the USA and China compete to shape the future. Unlike previous conflicts, this one will not be fought on a single front, but across multiple areas, and multiple domains.

How did we get here? What must be done? And where is the statecraft needed to prevent a slide into World War Three?

In this live In Conversation event, former UK defence minister Tobias Ellwood will draw on frontline experience, history, and geopolitical insight to set out a clear and urgent plan: rebuilding our hard power, restoring our soft power, strengthening alliances, and creating the off-ramps needed to step back from the brink.

The stakes could not be higher. But the future is not yet decided. Join us to uncover the steps that will lead us out of conflict and into a better world.
