The Conduit Young Innovator Awards recognise and celebrate the remarkable changemakers transforming our world for the better. With a £20,000 cash prize, complimentary membership to The Conduit, and mentoring from industry experts, this is an exciting opportunity and launchpad for young visionaries.

The Conduit Young Innovator Awards were established to acknowledge the efforts and dedication of individuals aged 18 to 28 who are creating a positive impact on the world. The awards are supported by the collective expertise of our founders, the Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action (CIVA), The Conduit, Conduit Connect and their communities.

• Mentoring from The Conduit community

All finalists will win complimentary membership to The Conduit for three months.   

Judging Criteria

Our panel will determine the winners based upon the following criteria: 

INCLUSIVITY – Does the innovation contribute to a more equitable world; does it promote and serve diverse communities and seek to bring people together?

VIABILITY – Does the innovation present a long-term plan for growth and development; can it survive economic and social shifts and adapt to changing times? 

INNOVATION – Does the innovation represent a genuinely novel contribution; does it provide scope for new understanding and development? 

IMPACT – Does the innovation aim to make a genuine positive contribution; has it fully considered impact at all levels, particularly focusing on asymmetrical social and environmental impact?

SCALABILITY – Does the innovation have clear scope to grow beyond its’ present limits; has this scope been fully identified, and is there obvious awareness of what is needed for growth to happen?

USE OF FUNDS – Has the innovation been fully and realistically costed, and has any discrepancy between budget and current capital been fully explained?
