Women Money Power
“Women Money Power,” by financial journalist Josie Cox, chronicles the long struggle of women for financial independence and equality.
Historically, women faced numerous restrictions in financial matters, including property ownership and access to bank accounts. They endured employment discrimination, unequal pay, and limited job opportunities. Cox’s book celebrates the resilience and achievements of pioneering women who defied societal norms and legal barriers. From WWII’s “Rosies” to trailblazers who penetrated male-dominated sectors like the New York Stock Exchange, these women made significant strides.
Join Josie, in conversation with Paul van Zyl, Co-Founder of The Conduit, as they dive into the persistent challenges and systemic barriers still facing women today, and get to grips with how we can push the dial forward to give women more financial power.
