This evening will be our inaugural “Winemakers Dinner”, an intimate occasion in the Conduit Reading and a chance for members to come together and enjoy a bespoke three-course menu that has been carefully curated to pair with wines from our chosen vineyard. This month will be hosted by experts from Friarwood Wines, who will introduce you to the Austrian producer Nittnaus. At the start of the evening Nittnaus owners, Han and Christine, will join on video call to give guests a brief introduction to their process and what you can expect from their wines. Then the fun will begin! Taste a variety of Nittnaus wines alongside Chef Paul’s brilliant cooking, whilst connecting and engaging with fellow members over the course of an informal and enjoyable evening.
Hans and Christine Nittnaus’ winery lies on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl in the heart of Gols, at the centre of one of the largest wine-producing communities in Austria. The family has owned vineyards for more than 300 years and has been running their own winery since 1986. They cultivate 57 hectares in Gols, spread out over more than 70 different vineyard-parcels. Almost two-thirds of this area is planted with red wine, mostly indigenous varieties. They cultivate their vines in accordance with organic agricultural principles.
Tickets for this exclusive dinner are £80. To ensure members enjoy a high-quality experience, spaces are limited to 35.
