Modernising Our View on Modern Slavery
Mon 16th Oct, 6.30-7.45pm
Mon 16th Oct, 6.30-7.45pm
The panel of experts will share their lived and professional experiences of modern slavery, demonstrating how every person’s story varies based on their intersectional needs, and how we cannot talk about violence in isolation.
The talk will interrogate who is being listened to, analyse our contemporary context, and dismantle our often rigid thinking when we picture what victims and survivors look like. The talk will be followed by a drinks reception hosted by The Vavengers – a female, survivor, and migrant-led charity working to end Gender-Based Violence.
