The Conduit’s new home is a landmark site within the heart of central London, located at 6 Langley Street, Covent Garden. The grade II listed, six-floor building is owned by the Mercers’ Company, who share The Conduit’s vision and mission – committed to social, environmental and economic change – and focuses on being a philanthropic force for good.

The Ubuntu Lounge

The Conduit’s design draws inspiration from two distinct aesthetics: the simplicity, functionality and uncluttered minimalism characteristic of Scandinavian design and the vibrancy, colour and texture of the global South. The result is a space that is elegant, informal and intimate – a perfect setting for creativity, inspiration and collaboration.
FURNITURE
Each piece of carefully crafted furniture has its own unique story of the makers behind them. We’re proud to support independent craftspeople from the UK, who have a focus on heritage and sustainability.
CERAMICS
Exquisite ceramics and intricately-carved pots can be seen across the floors, from our sculpted vases by South African ceramicist Nic Sithole to the Sussex Ceramics plates on our walls and tables.
FABRICS
Our hand-dyed carpets and natural materials are sourced from specialist artisans across South Africa, Swaziland, Morocco and beyond. Hand-woven tapestries are featured throughout the building, made by social enterprises that use craft to promote economic independence.
