Dan McGrail discusses his upcoming role as the CEO of GB Energy with a special focus on the UK’s transition to clean energy. McGrail emphasizes the pivotal role of insurance in enabling the success of renewables, particularly offshore wind, and its future challenges.

In particular he highlights the importance of technology, cost reduction, and insurability in making renewables more accessible and affordable. He suggests that insurers could play a role in mitigating climate risks through proactive collaboration with the renewable energy industry.
