In this episode, Asha is joined by Gillian Tett. Gillian serves as the chair of the editorial board and editor-at-large, US of the Financial Times. She writes weekly columns, covering a range of economic, financial, political and social issues. She is also the co-founder of FT Moral Money, a twice weekly newsletter that tracks the ESG revolution in business and finance which has since grown to be a staple FT product.

Her most recent book, Anthro-Vision, A New Way to See Life and Business has received multiple awards, including The Times and Financial Times Book of the Year.

In this episode the conversation will focus on the role of Community Health Workers across sub-Saharan Africa who are responsible for delivering care to approximately 40% of the continent’s population – that’s 916,000 active Community Health Workers treating over 400 million people across 24 different countries. Though they are often not formally recognized as professionals, Community Health Workers may be responsible for at least a dozen different types of preventive, promotional, and curative services depending on the country and local context.
